Live Update!

Life has brought about a lot of changes since last year. I just became a husband and I started living happily and peacefully with the most amazing woman I’ve ever met (my wife of course, Nurul Lidya Razali). That wasn’t enough change so I decided to look forward in build up our family together and look for a house for us to buy as well. Whoa!!

Reality Is Tough!!

Being in the fast lane, I have to shift my gear to 5th and constantly accelerate (remember I don't want to exceed the speed limit).

Being in the climbing terrain, I must have my low gear applied, steady & stronger rolling to the peak (remember I don’t want to lose grip or else I’ll fall backward).

So the conclusion is, I should face the condition maturely, adapts the condition and responds accordingly. Keep the pace!! I know I can do it.

good luck to me :)

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha

For those Muslims across the world which celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha, it’s not too late to wish right?

Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha

Initially, I'm not gonna say this year Hari Raya Aidiladha is the best raya I ever celebrate, yet not the worst either.

So sadly to mention that I missed to experience the sacrificial slaughter of cows in appreciation of Qurban as required by Islamic teachings. It's because my father was asking if I could help him to pay a visit to his friend nearby in the morning and bring some foods like ketupat, lodeh and rendang.

I thought it takes only half an hour, however it cost me more than 90 minutes before I return home. Well, I'm not going to describe further since too many things had happened in between that I just don't wanna share with the readers..hehe...

Thinking of it, I supposed to help him in the evening instead, once the ritual thing is done. It can't be helped I miscalculated the situation and that time, I felt like I'm the one who was being slaughtered and sacrificed. Haha

Back to the story, the moment I came to the slaughter ground area which is my neighbour's yard, no one was there as everyone left the place already. Obviously, they make it at super fast speed that I missed the whole process. Later on, the meat was distributed to my home and I feel like 'is this Hari Raya Aidiladha for real? Well that's how my Aidiladha ends up. That was pathetic isn't it? And boring too...

And by the way...

It has been a while since I had my hair cut 2 months ago. Realizing how ugly my look was, so I managed to get my hair done last Friday.

Basically, there is my favorite hair salon that I came quite often whenever I want to get my hair cut. To me, the barber just knows very well what kind of hair style I do want. She really knows how to cut my hair...and this is not my imagination.

Speaking about the barber, she is a Chinese gal at her young age and always being my favorite. It can't be denied that she is such a beautiful, lovely and being so nice to me every time I came by.

She is actually the person in-charged in the reception counter. However, when she saw me pulled out the door and step inside, she was keen to take turn to serve me, and this is not the first time she behaves like this.

She did the same thing to the point that I've lost count on how many times we have worked together... hihi. I wonder if she is being nice to everyone too. I don't know if it just me or...

Do you think it's fair?

Do you think it's fair?

People who are able to work long hours in the office are considered committed compare to those who went back on time. They are viewed as durable, energetic and being tipped for the best employee of the year.

In reverse, people who went home on time are considered uncommitted even they achieve the objective compare to those who stay until the late hour of the day to meet the same objective. They are viewed as lazy, unreliable and are not favored in the work force.

Okay, let's observe this from the different perspective and standing point of view.

People who work long hours in the office is considered inefficient compare to those who went home on time. They are viewed as slowpoke, not sophisticated and a disease to the company.

While those who always went home on time are considered efficient compare to those who have to stay until the late hour of the day, to meet the same target of course. They are viewed as intellectual, dynamic  sophisticated and have high possibility to get promoted.

So, what is your employer's point of view? Which perspective takes your boss the most? You should prepare the strategy; otherwise, you mean nothing to your boss.

I Enjoyed Malaysian Cup Finale.. hewhewhew

I'm not so into Malaysian football and the same applied to international leagues or what so ever related to football.

This happens since I graduated from my studies where I've been apart from friends who-so-addicted to this kind of game. I didn't find the enthusiasm since then... Haih~~~

Even so, I never missed any important match which I found interesting to watch, something that can be entertaining and take me the most.

In order to make me not being viewed as such an outdated man, I use to check the football results in the web, especially EPL and LA LIGA on livescore.com. Not just that, I randomly got to know the player/scorer from here as well and I believe most of us have an idea on this particular website. It's very popular among the football fans.

And I don't subscribe the Astro programs just to fulfill what I think not necessary in my social life. It's a strong reason why the desire into football is degraded. To spent time at mamak stall, I'm too waaaaaay far for that. Haha.

Okay, there is the main objective of this entry ~ Watched final Malaysian cup last night between ATM and Kelantan, thanks to RTM for brought it up live on tv 1. For that, I was able to shout out loud when the scoring parts came. Haha..

This final match suddenly grabbed my attention when it became frenzy lately. Kelantan attempted to win the third victory this year after won Liga Super and FA Cup while ATM show stunning comeback from the beginning to win the title. So I thought it's gonna be a tight game and for real, it happened hehe..

So, Kelantan won the match by beating ATM with 3 goals against 2. Honestly, the match was entertaining with both teams kept attempting to score and I must say it was two ways traffic match.

To make thing more excited, the environment turned out a bit tense when both teams were tied with 2 goals and no choice, the game had to be dragged into the extra time.

Well, it can't be helped that Kelantan did better by scoring their winning goal when the extra time just started. Congratulations to Kelantan, they deserve the victory after showing such outstanding effort.

Honestly, if someone asks which team I'm gonna support, I'll take ATM. I just don't have the interest in Kelantan since most of the fans were bragging about their team spirit, occupied most of the stadium's seats and winning streak. I just can't blend with it. No offense to Kelantan fans okay..huhu

I'm not bothered anyway who team had won and which team succumbed to the lost. It’s fine if I enjoy the game and worth for my time :)

I have a lot of work yet I am here sleeping my way through. Haih~

Hmm... I'm so bored. I know, I suppose to go to office today. I have a lot of unfinished things to look at. Risk analysis submission to JPP, submissions to IWK, submissions to local authority for 3 cypark solar projects and a lot more where should be settled by next week. Obviously they are gonna be delayed and sadly, no active progress for all of them. So there you go, I have a lot of work in between yet I am here sleeping my way through. Haih~

I feel guilty to Mr F for cypark projects as he did most of the design all the way from structure to infra. Truthfully, those projects are supposed under my responsibility and Mr F just checks upon my design and drawing. He is the project manager and I work under his supervision anyways. Mathematically, I just contributed less than 10% from the entire process.

It seems all instructions felt to the deft ears as I paid all attention to JPP project. I wonder if he pissed for what I've done.

And I've JPP meeting on Monday yet a lot of things are not in place. I 100% confident the client will be irritated and mad upon our infirm progress.

Dear workload, I'm sorry, I just can't find the enthusiasm to work today. I'm gonna regret this later.

Time Flies

I have never liked working.  To me a job is an invasion of privacy.  ~Danny McGoorty

Today is 17th October 2012 where it marks something to my engineering career. I've been marrying Perwira Al-Shura Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd as civil engineer for a year now. Being here for a year is something magnificent after considering the company tough circumstances. To date, this is the longest workplace I ever worked and it's worth all the time, effort, throbbing headache, palpitation, crying (as my ex girlfriend was left me during my early involvement in this firm - imagine how badly did I cry haha) and of course lack of sleep.

During my tenure so far, I've through a lot of memories regardless the sweet and the terrible one. It's hard to forget those days especially the hard and difficult moments that I've had endured. I don't expect to work in here until now even I keep complaining every single day about my workload. On another side, I'm glad enough that my time is pretty much occupied with those workloads that I get to enjoy my working life rather than concentrating on my personal life.

My overtime exceeds than 500 hours over my 12 HECTIC months of service here. It's way fantastic compare with other staff members. However, no extra fees being paid upon the extra efforts that I've shown. No special rewards as well except the increment due to my confirmation as company permanent staff. It's also the signal for the probation period was over. That is the terrible thing that ever happened in my career so far I guess. Despite that, I'm glad for myself after be able to go this far. Over 500 extra working hours is like a record that complicated to break. Bravo! Haha, hopeless me..:P

Working under pressure is a normal circumstance for me now, insufficient of manpower doesn't make thing any better when the workloads keep increasing from time to time. Guys, this firm was like a terrible engineering training field to me. Most of the working hours is a brainstorming session. Sometimes, it can't be helped to skip my lunch for the sake of my work. Not just that, I sacrificed a lot of things as well such as money, my quality time with family and friends. Even my ex girlfriend was being one of the victim of my commitments. Sob..sob..sob

Even I keep complaining and whining, I'm still grateful for what I have today. I gain a lot of experiences here where hardly to obtain anywhere. I judge this based on the awarded projects where the firm gets to handle. I'm grateful to have officemates and support staffs which are very friendly, very open minded, easy to communicate and very cooperative. Thanks for being nice to me. I look forward to stay longer in here, but it can't be helped if I'm being offered a new job with handsome income and benefits, I shall grab that :). Im not that stupid to let it go!

Oh My English

It has been a while I didn’t write anything in my blog. The last time I updated was like nine months ago. I actually didn’t remember how long I do absence from blogging but when I took a glance on my previous post, then I realized it was December last year. That’s how I did the calculation – nine months indeed!!!

I need to admit that my English proficiency is getting worst since then. I figured out this matter during in the office today when I need to create a very simple sentence. It took me like 10 minutes before I could complete a proper English sentence. It’s time wasting to me as I could form the same paragraph, same vocabulary and same comprehension without facing single problem before.

Even to write out this entry, I was brainstorming like hell. Well, I need to put some effort to regain that kind of skill before I lost everything soon. Let me see what I can do to improve my English. Good luck to me J

Jogging after so long!

The idea turned out yesterday's morning once I woke up from my sleep. My body felt so listless and certain muscles were severely pain. However I forced myself rather than taking MC after knowing the awaiting workload at the office needs to be done by yesterday. The workload had motivated me somehow. Huhuhu

I've worked in this new company for almost 2 months now and since then I never took any outdoor exercise to break a sweat. Not even once!!! Plus I took unhealthy diet most of the time without any control schemes. This might be the main reason why my body is so weak, not as energetic as before! Devastating myself!

Since then, I decided to spend my Saturday morning for exercise regime. The best location that came across in mind was Titiwangsa Lake. I eager to run after imagine the atmosphere and also the fact that this is my first time to utilize the facility.

Seems like the plan worked well. Just morning I was on the jogging track just to realize what I had already planned. I've invited my cousin and a friend to come along however the bed gave the best offer to resist. So, I continue my plan while contemplating that there will be a lot of joggers will accompany me. Hahaha

The jogging track is surrounding the Titiwangsa Lake. This recreation place is very popular among the KL population and located not far from my residence area (walking distance). It just takes around 10 to 15 minutes of walking and could be lesser than that if you accelerate your walking style.

I set myself to accomplish 5 rounds minimum. However, I only managed to finish 3 rounds which if I bring to the math, I still short for 2 rounds from what I had targeted. Even though, 3 rounds were enough to torture my physical body.

The energy gone quite fast!!! Can you imagine I passed out after 3 rounds? The desire to run is there yet what does it means when the legs refuse to run? The stamina is on the critical level and need to focus more on the outdoor activity soon so that the problem will be fixed!

Those who think by accomplishing 3 rounds are just a breeze, I assume that you are concreting my statement about myself. Hahaha

And now, this is the come out after putting my stamina to the limit - I thought I will be energetic and feel fresh yet I'm enduring the muscle tense instead. Huhuhu

Beware when you withdraw your money

Last Friday, my office (by referring to the 2nd floor where my workstation is being located) was shocked after one of the staffs told about a brother of her being robbed at one of the well known gas station nearby, in the toilet to be specific!. The incident happened whenever the guy went to the station's toilet right after he withdrew the money. Loads of money of course!

From my own standing point of view, it's believed that he had already been targeted since the moment he headed to the ATM machines. The culprit was observing him since then and when the guy decided to go to the toilet, it was clearly bad idea. Plus, carrying the loads of money had geared up the culprit's motivation I guess.

Well, it wasn't his mistake, no one on earth will aware about that he would be the victim especially at a gas station and in a clear daylight. Exception given to the person who commits the crime as he would knows better his evil operation.

From the above incident, deep down in my heart, I presume that our country doesn't safe anymore. My opinion was supported by others even I didn't say it out loud. I'm very confident with that after hearing everyone's sigh.

To the victim, hope he will recover from trauma soon and escape from the financial matter he probably faces due to the incident. Hope everyone will be extra careful when it comes to MONEY.

The moral of the story, please bear in mind to do the feces and urine job first before you withdraw out your money. A lesson learned :)

Do'a - The Second Ponder

As part of the company initiative to bring the Islamic spiritual and create the harmony working environment all over the workplace, the management team has organized a special slot for Islamic lectures pertaining the religious issues and ethics. The slot being held on every Friday morning and the venue is at the discussion room.

This special program has been practiced like for many many years ago and surprisingly, it still continue to keep the pace until today. Since I'm one of the company's backbones recently (hell no to be truth), I'm now become one of the listener of this lectures. It is also the fact that everyone is mandatory to come and listen on what the lecturer is going to deliver unless, the person unable to make himself/herself available due to the certain excuses.

For today session, the lecturer is one of the company's staff and he is at his late 20's I guess. Normally, the company will invite the totally - stranger -lecturer from outside to come and give a talk but today, the fellow staff was ready on action.

The topic was quite simple yet enough to jolt me and probably to all audiences in the room as well. The fellow staff threw out a few questions to the audience as introduction instead of giving the definition of this particular topic - DO'A.

By asking whether if there any person amongst us still practice or even memorize any of the do'a that I've listed below:

1) before and after you have your meals.
2) whenever you are wearing and taking off your clothes.
3) before you enter and exit from toilet.
4) before you start and accelerate your vehicle.
5) before you step out and stand at the doorstep of your house.

Reminiscing my kindergarten moment, I used to memorize all the do'a, recited all of them accordingly before I commit something. It feels like the do'a come first in mind before anything else. But now, as I grown up, I forget most all of the do'a as I start to leave behind the daily practice. Forgetting verse by verse as the time passed by.

The reason of moving instead of staying.

Everything that happens should be a reason behind it. So do with my case where I quit from my old job and move to a new workplace. Even I know very clear the salary differs from what I could gain previously.

If I work in the previous company, I could gain around 2.5 K - 3 K per month yet I need to deal with the tough and rough work, deal with the sweltering sun and danger, put my life at stake and jeopardized it.

It's because I worked for construction company as site engineer cum safety supervisor. So, clear your mind and don't be confused by wondering what kind of job until I need to endanger myself.

update after so long :)

It has been awhile for me not to post anything in here, slightly different from what I used to do before - spend most of my time in writing. There are a lot of things have been changed over the period.

I'm now working in a not-so-well-known consultant firm as a civil engineer. This is the position that I aimed since I was undergoing my secondary school. It was like 7 years of time before I could realize my dream. I could say that I'm proud of myself.

Even though I could achieve one of my dreams, I'm still not satisfied yet. You know why? It's because the firm pay me unimaginable cheap salary compare to what I could get in the previous company. As a result, I need to endure the "lack of money" syndrome as I need to control and monitor my expanses properly.

I decided to work in this consultant firm because it gives me much benefit in the long run in term of my future life and career. I think that's all from me this time. This is just a warm up session before I go for more :)

Event of New Year's Eve...part 020

All the knowledge and skill sets are being utilized accordingly with the mission and vision that had been drawn earlier before the mission took place. All people who had been involved in so many ways feel proud of this achievement indeed.

Hahaha... Why do I think that I'm just over doing with my writing and exaggerating it? Apparently, I'm trying to make the story a little bit sensation by injecting certain emotion so that it's seen alive. It sounds very flat without some sort of emotion. Owh, whatever!

Event of New Year's Eve...part 019

So, from the selection process above, my father and his friends have tying a sturdy correlation of friendship. It's also indirectly had created a solidarity bond for both of them as particular and the entire teammates as a whole based on the integrity that each of them had shown earlier.

After three years in the foreign land, it was the time for all six members to come back to their origin country, Malaysia. There were not coming home with bare hand instead with full of knowledge and variety of skill sets.

Event of New Year's Eve...part 018

Okay, it's enough to ramblings about the vision and mission overview. It's also enough to brief about how both of vision and mission could reflect our country. Now back to the main point on how my father and friends of him get well through the good friendship.

As you read on my previous entries (if you really did the read), I have stated all the selections process which was quite tough. Just imagine there were thousands cadets which come from assorted background and all of them have a same intention and desire. Plus, the desire is just too hard to resist. It won't make thing any better, isn't it?

Event of New Year's Eve...part 017

By exposing to the cutting edge technology and knowledge-sharing strategy between both countries, it's believed to be able to foster good connection between Malaysia and Australia. It's also a fine way to form good universal bonding in order to ease human violation and to curb the crime and terrorism.

If we refer to the world's history book, Australia was superior to Malaysia in term of many things. One of it is regarding the defensive technology and military facilities in the hidden arsenal. So, it was a great opportunity to work together with the country that more advance compare to Malaysia where it could be the guidelines for Malaysia to move forward.

Event of New Year's Eve...part 016

From these three years of learning exercise, it's expected would be a strategically collaboration where it was purportedly to enhance and enrich the information gathered between two countries.

It's also would be indirectly to impetus on improving the current technologies that had been adopted by both countries and further understanding in term of the country defensive measure at that time especially for Malaysia.

Event of New Year's Eve...part 015

All the six members of the group had played their part well. To be picked is such an honor as there were hundred or thousands challengers that have the same intention - to be the part of the delegation and enjoy luxurious trip to Aussie. Spend the quality time abroad is such a once-in-a-while experience. Isn't it?

In my father's case, he was being assigned as a representative for Technical Department which is dealing with the engine of both Jet Fighters and Choppers.

Event of New Year's Eve...part 014

After all criterion had been taken into account, all six candidates had been chosen after the tough vying to carry out the responsibility of government's order. My father was the one who had succeeded amongst of the six members that had been chosen.

He had successfully passed the entire criterion and then followed by his best friend. It had been proven as each of the duo had been tipped to be one of the six delegations after they demonstrated very good disciplines and their performance had impressed by many.
